Licensing Model

The licensing model used by all Apitron's products is providing software licenses on a subscription basis, where the minimum subscription period is one year from the date of purchase. Renewal doesn't occur automatically, so the customers are being notified one month before their subscriptions end. Read more about the renewal here.

A valid subscription includes access to the latest product releases and technical support with an ability get the initial reply from the experienced engineer within 24 hours a problem was encountered with any of the company's products.

All Apitron's licenses are royalty-free, and are not linked to working sites, number of processors or number of developers.

License Types

Different license types serve different purposes, so it's always possible to find one suiting particular customer's needs.

Renewal

Apitron has a very simple renewal scheme that allows its customers to save money and still be up to date with the latest versions the software components. Once the customer activates the license, the subscription becomes active and lasts until it expires, by default one year from the date of activation. It's however possible to purchase a license which would expire after two, three, four etc. years. A reminder will be sent one month prior the expiration.

Apitron releases bugfixes and upgrades on a regular basis, so a valid subscription allows to get the issues resolved without any additional charges. The renewal fee is 25% of the current product listing price and as long as the subscription gets renewed the same support and upgrades policy gets applied as during the first year from the purchase.

Apitron may also release significant upgrades as new versions(major releases) and in this case the cost of the step-up would be 25% of the listing price of a new version, provided the customer has an active license for the previous version of the component.
